What To Do After Contracting Herpes..

Contracting Genital Herpes:

Contracting Genital Herpes OK.  So you have just found out that you have contracted herpes.  I can tell you from experience that contracting herpes might seem at first like the worst thing on earth that has ever happened to you (at least it did for me – over 20 years ago).  But I can tell you that there is so much life after having found out you have somehow somewhere managed to come in contact with the HSV2 virus.

Take a deep breath and please don’t be too afraid.  The first thing you should consider is being overly nice to yourself.  Even if you put yourself at risk, even if you feel like you are somehow responsible for this, I can assure you that it is not your fault. I am not going to say that it is the fault of someone else (even if it is) because that is no longer the issue.  Unfortunately, your genital herpes is here to stay.

But all is not lost…

Contracting Herpes: What Now?

You can start to do research on how to live and treat your herpes infection.  There is a tremendous amount of information on this website, along with information on what you can expect in terms of symptoms, herpes outbreaks, and genital herpes treatment.

Please take the time to search out valuable and positive information on what it is like living with HSV.

Do NOT start buying products for treatment on the internet.  You can find many home remedies in your cupboard and I have found that the best treatment for herpes is found at your local vitamin store.  If you don’t have one, many can be found inexpensively online.   As a bonus, much of the natural herpes treatments will boost your immune system so you get less colds and flu each year.

You can start with the above information and take the time to poke around on the blog.  There is no judgment here and you do not have to be scared.

Please e-mail me if you have any questions.

Take care.

[...] It really, really does.  And fast and easy.  I am not saying this to scare you because with a few small steps you can absolutely stop the spread of herpes.   If you already have genital herpes then we can talk a little bit about how to greatly reduce the risk of herpes transmission.   BUT if you are reading this because someone has just had the absolute and total decency of telling you they carry the HSV virus, then I also want to reassure you that while herpes does spread, you can totally and absolutely have an awesome sexual relationship with them and NOT contract herpes.
