Hi Nancy! I was diagnosed with vaginal herpes about 2 years ago. Now I have what seems to be genital herpes. I would like to know if it is possible to have both, I haven't before now. If I was exposed to another person who has genital herpes could I get genital when I already have vaginal. I know it sounds like a silly question, but I am definately in need of an answer. Thank you!

I am not quite sure how I failed to respond to this comment, but I would like to point out that vaginal herpes has nothing to do with hygiene! Yes, protecting yourself (with condoms) is a great idea, but keeping yourself washed and waxed will not in any way prevent the spread of this virus.
