I would like to go through some of the exact genital herpes symptoms in women and what you can expect with the female symptoms of herpes.
Genital Herpes Symptoms In Women:
After any warning signs of an oncoming outbreak, it is quite possible you can expect the usual herpes sores. The blisters or sores will most often appear exactly where you would have had any itching and/or burning and will quite often appear over and over again in the same spot. This is not always the case and it is important to note that IF you develop a new site, it does not mean that you spread the disease to yourself or that this means you will have even more outbreaks.
The virus will take the path of least resistance and quite often, depending on what is happening in your body, it can find a new place to emerge all on it’s own.
Don’t worry too much about new outbreak sites.
Female Symptoms Herpes:
The herpes outbreaks will start out red and swollen and can be extremely painful as they appear. It is the single sores or blisters that can be quite deep and actually pull at the skin as it swells. This stage does not usually last more than a day or two and you can numb the pain with a bit of tea tree oil mixed with olive oil. The blisters can be filled with fluid and as the sores begin to rupture the pain will subside and you can begin to apply any vitamin E or other herpes treatment you have experimented with.
It is hard to explain exactly what each and every herpes outbreak will be like because herpes affects women in a variety of different ways. As I said, you can have a very painful single blister, or you can have a rash or a series or cluster of smaller blisters. What is quite common among women I speak with is the itching, swelling, tenderness and the relief from all as the blister begins to heal.
The important thing to remember for genital herpes symptoms in women is to recognize them early; to begin treatment almost immediately (if not as a prevention each and every day), and to avoid all sexual contact which will absolutely ensure that you are not a part of spreading herpes.
Be well!

So I have a really strange story but feel it needs to be shared. I got a mosquito bite on my upper right buttock from a very large mosquito. I killed the mosquito and it was so big I took a photo. That same day went tanning. By the next day my mosquito bit changed dramatically into cluster type pustules. I went to dr. She said “do u use tanning beds?” I said yes why? She said she had seen slot of this and proceeded to tell me she was going to scrape me for herpes. I was shocked as I am a married woman never diagnosed with this before. She told me that my mosquito bite was a point of entry and my tan bed would have infected me if person prior to me tanned and bed wasn’t properly cleaned. I have herpes the sexually transmitted type but on my upper right buttock at which it has reappeared now twice. On the skin it is tender after the sores form but prior to the outbreak it feels like someone is poking u with a sewing needle. To the point where I kept checking my bed for a needle and then put two and two together. My dr. Said wrestlers get herpes all the time from mats. So my lesson is if u tan bring clorox wipes and use a toilet seat cover always. I feel lucky not to have it on my vagina but, still it is life changing. Oh and she recommended hepicleanse for washing hands after touching sore so as not to spread to my children or eye areas.
hello, I’m 19 and started being sexually active for about 2 months now, but haven’t had any problems until recently. My boyfriend and I had sex with a flavored condom and we’ve had before but didn’t really have any problems before but found out it’s not a good idea to use those for sex, but we did use one but at one point it broke and it had a good date we thought it was really odd. But later on in the day we had sex again but without a condom a few times during the day. Last time we did I was extremely sore and had a hard time during it. Was sore for awhile few days later my left side of vagina got really swollen, and hurt so bad. Then got these white looking spots on my left labia they didn’t hurt. Put vitamin e on it and it went away; then I started peeling really bad as the swelling slowly disappeared. I thought it might’ve been a yeast infection so been using monistat. Been helping out some, but then just today, I noticed my clitoris was itching really bad and swollen and saw a couple red spots that look like tiny pimples. Still itches badly, afraid that I might have herpes. Please help me out and give any advice that might help out any thanks.
Amy, I think yours is a very unusual case and I would not mind having what you have. Why? Because you have genital herpes kind but not on your genitals. This means you do not have to worry about passing it to your partner during sex. This also means that your body has developed the necessary anti-bodies to protect you from acquiring the real genital herpes. Consider it a vaccination for genital herpes (which also protects you from HSV1). You are actually lucky. I mean sure you will be annoyed when you are having an outbreak on your butt, but just consider it like having a pimple. It shouldn’t affect your sex life and you are now immune to genital and oral herpes.
hi,

I am a 48 year old woman with HSV2. I contracted it from a man who felt he didn’t need to share his infection to me when we became intimate for 6 months.
I have been infected for only a year. Dealing with vaginal outbreaks the, “normal” way.
Recently I have been under the worst stress of my life and for the past 3 weeks have had blisters on what started on my toes and has now spread to my face and hands. I look as if I should be sent to an isolated island until they clear up.
My Dr. has prescribed Zovirex cream which I am now on my second tube and Valtrex which I am now on my second series of with no site of the blisters subsiding or healing, they are just getting worse despite my constant hand washing and use of the cream. The blisters on my vagina are healing but the ones on my feet, fingers and hands are just getting worse.
Any feedback is most appreciated as I don’t see any posts from anyone who has had this problem.
I am a massage therapist and nurse by trade and this outbreak has meant that I have been unable to do my work from fear of infecting a client or patient.
