Amy, I think yours is a very unusual case and I would not mind having what you have. Why? Because you have genital herpes kind but not on your genitals. This means you do not have to worry about passing it to your partner during sex. This also means that your body has developed the necessary anti-bodies to protect you from acquiring the real genital herpes. Consider it a vaccination for genital herpes (which also protects you from HSV1). You are actually lucky. I mean sure you will be annoyed when you are having an outbreak on your butt, but just consider it like having a pimple. It shouldn't affect your sex life and you are now immune to genital and oral herpes.

hello, I'm 19 and started being sexually active for about 2 months now, but haven't had any problems until recently. My boyfriend and I had sex with a flavored condom and we've had before but didn't really have any problems before but found out it's not a good idea to use those for sex, but we did use one but at one point it broke and it had a good date we thought it was really odd. But later on in the day we had sex again but without a condom a few times during the day. Last time we did I was extremely sore and had a hard time during it. Was sore for awhile few days later my left side of vagina got really swollen, and hurt so bad. Then got these white looking spots on my left labia they didn't hurt. Put vitamin e on it and it went away; then I started peeling really bad as the swelling slowly disappeared. I thought it might've been a yeast infection so been using monistat. Been helping out some, but then just today, I noticed my clitoris was itching really bad and swollen and saw a couple red spots that look like tiny pimples. Still itches badly, afraid that I might have herpes. Please help me out and give any advice that might help out any thanks.

So I have a really strange story but feel it needs to be shared. I got a mosquito bite on my upper right buttock from a very large mosquito. I killed the mosquito and it was so big I took a photo. That same day went tanning. By the next day my mosquito bit changed dramatically into cluster type pustules. I went to dr. She said "do u use tanning beds?" I said yes why? She said she had seen slot of this and proceeded to tell me she was going to scrape me for herpes. I was shocked as I am a married woman never diagnosed with this before. She told me that my mosquito bite was a point of entry and my tan bed would have infected me if person prior to me tanned and bed wasn't properly cleaned. I have herpes the sexually transmitted type but on my upper right buttock at which it has reappeared now twice. On the skin it is tender after the sores form but prior to the outbreak it feels like someone is poking u with a sewing needle. To the point where I kept checking my bed for a needle and then put two and two together. My dr. Said wrestlers get herpes all the time from mats. So my lesson is if u tan bring clorox wipes and use a toilet seat cover always. I feel lucky not to have it on my vagina but, still it is life changing. Oh and she recommended hepicleanse for washing hands after touching sore so as not to spread to my children or eye areas.
