I just read about the most amazing herpes treatment (and now I’m going to share it with you):
Beta-1, 3-D Glucan (also called Beta Glucan) – a natural substance derived from the cell wall of baker’s yeast. This is a documented substance that when used regularly, allows the body’s immune system to work at maximum performance.
Now first thing is that Beta-1,3-D Glucan needs a PR rep. Because what kind of name is that?! But seriously, I have been doing quite a bit of reading and I’m not sure how this seemingly substance of awesomeness managed to elude me for over 20 years. And it works as a treatment for genital herpes!
Why?
How?
What?
You ask.
Hold on, I’m getting to that.
From yeast, beta glucan is a complex type of carbohydrate molecule (just what I need, more carbs…) with immune stimulating properties. Specifically, it stimulates the activity of macrophages, immune cells that destroy cellular debris, microorganisms, and abnormal cells by surrounding and digesting them. Beta-1,3-Glucan is derived from the cell walls of baker’s yeast yet (very important) does not contain any yeast proteins.
OK, moving forward I am just going to call it plain old beta glucan.
Beta Glucan is useful for treating many fungal, bacterial and viral infections. So if I am to understand correctly, it is quite possible that Beta G. can keep my genital herpes infection dormant by (this is my favorite part): surrounding and digesting it. Sounds like a treatment for herpes for me.
I could find little information on the web (with of course notable exception to all the people trying to sell it) and so I will do a little more investigation and attempt to get my hands on some quality product to take myself for a few months. I am quite excited because my research did lead me to a few facts that beta glucan (in actual studies! circa 1970) killed tumor cells in rats, increased bone marrow production, and was a potent agent against aging.
Oh beta glucan…. Where have you been all my life?

So this was posted in December, about six months ago. I am curious to find out if you did in fact purchase the Beta Glucan and if so, why were the results?
