So what exactly is a herpes coach?  What many of you may not realize (but hopefully many do..) is that Life Coaching is really taking off as a method of changing your life and reaching your goals.   If you have never heard of a Life Coach, I am sure that in the next few years that is about to change.  I have personally been seeing a Life Coach for over three years, and it has fundamentally and undeniably changed my life for the better in countless ways.

The difference between a psychologist and a Life Coach (in my opinion) is that mental health professionals will work with you on your emotional issues which can include issues from your childhood, negative patterns that you continuously repeat, negative beliefs that keep you stuck and countless other “analytical” methods for helping you realize who you are and why you do what you do.  This is important because our behavior can be very self sabotaging and I fully respect and encourage people to see a mental health professional when emotional issues are so great that they are making your life unbearable.

On the other hand, a Life Coach will work with you to figure out where you are now and where you want to be, and create small step and goals to help you get there.  If minor emotional issues or negative beliefs are holding you back, this can easily be addressed and dealt with in your ongoing sessions.   A great Life Coach is essentially like a paid best friend who is extra smart and has your best interests at heart.  You never have to talk about him or her or his or her problems. You and your success are the sole focus of the relationship.  If you have a Life Coach that continuously brings up his or her problems and wants to share with you, get a new one!   I love my Coach with all my heart but the truth is, I know almost nothing about her.  I don’t know if she is married or has a boyfriend, I don’t know if she has children or wants to.  I don’t  know what she eats for breakfast or if she even has any friends.  And I like it this way.  It’s all about me!   Of course I pay for this…  But it’s worth it!

So why do I bring all this up?  Because as the career of life coaching grows (and it is growing!), speciality coaching is really starting to take off.  There are weight loss coaches, money coaches, divorce coaches, executive coaches, sales coaches, and countless other specialities popping up every day.   So why not herpes coaching?

Here and now, I proclaim myself:  The Herpes Coach.  And it feels good to do so.

My hope for this blog is to really help you figure out where you are now with your genital herpes (emotionally and physically) and where you can be with a little kindness and support.  And the best part?  You don’t even have to pay me!  This is the miracle of blogging and the Internet.   How do I make money?  Well, right now I don’t. Eventually I would like to sell a comprehensive herpes e-book through this site, but it will be of course totally up to you whether or not you decide to purchase it.  Right now, I am happy to keep freely blogging and hopefully helping you with each and every post.   Before I start charging (small joke) if you are interested in herpes coaching, just e-mail me!
